Andrea peeked around the street corner, careful to stay under cover then turned back to face her partner. “Well… We’re fucked!” She spat on the floor.
Lisa rolled her eyes. “Gee! Thanks, Captain Obvious!”
Jason’s distorted voice rang in their radio implant, “What do you mean fucked?”
Lisa rolled her eyes some more prompting Andrea to smirk. “Fucked! As in, there’s too fucking many of the fucking bastards, Jay!”
Jason sighed. “Okay…” The two women could picture the frown on his face despite the miles separating them. “On a scale to one to ten, how bad is it exactly?”
Andrea turned back to the alley where the ambush had been set up for them. “Forty-two?”
“Seriously, Andy, I can’t help you come up with a strategy if you’re focusing on being a smart ass instead of a bad one!”
Andrea’s body suddenly tensed and she made a quick gesture to Lisa. Strategy was not an option anymore it seemed. Lisa activated lowered her helmet visor and readied her shotgun. “You’re cute when you worry for us Jay!”
Andrea snorted, already aiming at one of the creatures lurking in the alley. “He is! See you on the other side, Jay. We have a party to go to!”
